Sacro-occipital technique
Dr De Jarnette, a chiropractor from the USA, developed sacro-Occipital technique in the 1930`s. Sacro-occipital technique is by far the most used technique by chiropractors today.

A number of unique test procedures have been developed within the chiropractic profession to assess musculo skeletal-cranium and their relationship to the nervous system.Within sacro-occipital technique we also assess nutritional needs of patients.

The approach used by sacro-occipital technique are:

  1. The use of specially constructed wedges to be used around the pelvis to facilitate position/motion of pelvic and lumbar disturbance.
  2. The use of specific adjustment methods which can facilitate organ function.
  3. Cranial adjustments to improve the function of the cranio-sacral system, and jaw joint.
