Classic and advanced chiropractic examination and treatment:
Your chiropractor uses the classical adjustment method where he affects the spine and the nervous system with his hands and supportive measures. Nowadays there are also instruments that can be used together with hand adjustments.
Applied kinesiology - neurological examination method:
Developed by Dr George Goodheart, a chiropractor in the 1960´s. Applied kinesiology is used to give a more specific diagnosis. It can also be described as a way of examining how the nervous system reacts when exposed to different stimuli. Chiropractors who have further education in applied kinesiology use scientific muscle tests to locate functional disturbances in the body. Foremost structural but also chemical and mental processes can be evaluated.
Sacro-occipital technique – structural treatment of the pelvis and cranium:
Sacro-occipital technique was developed in the 1930´s, by Dr. De Jearnette, an American chiropractor. The technique has evolved to being one of the most frequently used techniques within chiropractic. Sacro-occipital technique uses different testing procedures. They are used to assess problems in the neuro-muscular-skeletal system, cranium, arms, legs, and their connection to the nervous system. Sacro-occipital technique also takes in consideration whether the patient is in need of nutrition (e.g. vitamins or minerals).
Cranio-sacral technique – structural treatment of the cranium and the jaw:
In 1929 Dr. Nephi Cottam, an American chiropractor, realized that there is a rhythmic system in the body, now called the cranio-sacral system. Since then there has been extensive research about this discovery. In the same way as we listen to the heart or lungs we can feel the cranio-sacral impulse and make a diagnosis and provide treatment of that system. This is done by very light guiding pressures to various structures of the head and jaw.
Nutrition - diet mm:
Nutrition comprises vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids, enzymes and fats. These are used for the construction of the body together with proteins and carbohydrates, and are needed for the normal functions of your body. A deficiency can lead to severe and prolonged health issues. By eating a well composed and nutritional diet, and avoiding harmful substances, there is greater chance to restore and maintain your health. The treatment consists of different nutritional products which contains the components the body is lacking or has an increased need for.
Complex homeopathy:
The founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahneman 1755-1843, developed a system which is in contrast to the one that the traditional medicine represents. Instead of blocking the symptoms of an illness, homeopathy tries to work with the body’s innate intelligence to heal itself.
Samuel Hahneman discovered that the amount of the substance used can be extremely diluted. The substance can arise from the animal kingdom, the vegetable kingdom or from minerals. It is prepared according to a special method and is mixed with water, alcohol or sugar to form a homeopathic remedy. Homeopathy is well established and usually practised by medical physicians in Europe and the rest of the world.
Invision:
Your nervous system can be assessed through an advanced computerized system called “Invision”. With this equipment available in the clinic we measure whether your nervous system is in a normal, stressed or recovery mode.
We use various detectors on your body and connect these with a computer program. Then we will put you through various visual, hearing stimuli and movements to assess your nervous system. The following methods are used.
ECG – Electrocardiograph, to assess cardiac function
EEG – Electroencephalograph, to assess brain wave function.
EMG - Electromyography (dynamic and static), to assess muscle function.
Assessment of breathing
Assessment of skin temperature.
Assessment of skin resistance (galvanic skin response), to measure the “fight fight response”.
After the test is completed a graph will appear “where your nervous system is at present”. This will then be analyzed and a report will be given to you.
Acostic Emission:
Dr Brambergs Chiropractic Clinic has also equipment for measuring hearing and screening of the tympanic membrane in the ears. This is called Acostic Emission Technology.
Orthotics:
We make individual custom made orthotics when necessary.
