The LKR (Legitimerade Kiropraktorers Riksorganisation) was formed in 1936 and deals with the registration of chiropractors in Sweden who were educated abroad and have the highest standard of chiropractic education.  The Department of Health in Sweden also register Chiropractors who have been educated in Sweden, however they do not meet the requirements stipulated by the ECCE (European Council on Chiropractic Education) which makes it difficult for patients to determine the difference in quality of Chiropractors.  We recommend that you choose one of the 200 chiropractors in Sweden who are educated abroad and hold the titles of ‘Master of Chiropractic’ and ‘Doctor of Chiropractic’.
