Everything in the body, from organ (such as skin, liver, stomach, eyes) to structure (such as muscle, ligament and bone) is controlled through the nervous system. The nervous system is made up of the brain, spinal cord and all the nerves which run from the spinal cord to every region in the body, controlling movement, sensation, organ function and many more.

In chiropractic philosophy, it is believed that when there is nerve interference within the body, it will result in a decrease of function in any or all of the components which are regulated by nerves (i.e. everything). It is chiropractor’s belief that it is possible to increase the healthy functioning of the nervous system with the application of treatment in the form of an adjustment.

In this clinic we also use techniques which look at environmental\emotional factors which can reduce the functioning of the nervous system, such as nutrition\toxicity and mental stressors. We work on the basis of ‘holistic care’ which means looking at every aspect of a person’s health in order to achieve an optimum standard of healthy living for that individual.

Many people come to us with headaches or back pain, but leave after a course of treatment feeling like a ‘whole new healthy, happy person – both at home, and at work’ and this is the standard we wish to achieve for everyone in our care.
